Barti Rum is a Pembrokeshire producer named after Bartholomew Roberts, a local man forced into piracy in 1719 after his Royal Navy ship was captured, who went on to become one of the most notorious pirates of his era. The company built its identity around this piece of local history, and its cream liqueur carries through the same use of hand-picked laver seaweed from the Pembrokeshire coast that features in its spiced rum, tying the product firmly to the region.
